How Book Trust Works

• Monthly, teachers distribute Scholastic book club catalogs (Arrow, Firefly, Lucky, Seesaw, etc.) to their entire classes.
• At home, Book Trust children choose up to $7 of books from the catalogs.
• Teachers place their classroom’s orders with Scholastic, and report Book Trust charges on the Book Trust online system; Book Trust then pays Scholastic.
• Soon after, books are delivered to classrooms!

Book Trust program training, accounting and assessment ensures consistency and quality of program delivery. Book Trust operates seamlessly and invisibly in classrooms. The data we collect contributes to the field of literacy in areas of reading attitudes and behaviors, skill acquisition and more. We act as advocates in our participating regions to promote the program and inspire community support. We also build awareness of the academic impact of access to books and reading for pleasure.

Book Trust is recognized as an independent 501(c)(3) organization.
