Program Stewardship in Book Trust Classrooms

Book Trust partners with educators to activate book selection and engagement opportunities in the classroom. This includes:

    • Facilitating student choice processes within the $12 per-student stipend, guiding selection while ensuring decisions are entirely driven by student interests.
    • Placing orders on time by the 15th of a book selection month to ensure books arrive before month-end and students don’t miss an opportunity to add new books to their personal libraries.
    • Celebrating book distribution through short, joyful moments that welcome new additions to students’ personal libraries and build excitement around reading.
    • Leading simple engagement activities provided by Book Trust that transform reading from an individual skill into shared experiences.
    • Connecting families to classroom reading experiences through Book Trust-designed activities. This engagement supports sustainable reading habits at home, extends the joy of reading beyond school hours, and helps families to build consistent practices around books.

  • Managing the Book Trust program calendar by marking key dates for three seasonal cycles and corresponding activities, clearly communicating to students when it’s time to choose new books and when to bring books back to school for scheduled engagement activities.
