International Children’s Book Day

Since 1967, International Children’s Book Day is celebrated on or around Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children’s books. 

This school year, Book Trust students’ top titles include:

2. Disney Lilo & Stitch: Stitch-Or-Treat! by Eric Geron
3. How to Catch a Loveosaurus by Alice Alstead
4. There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey by Lucille Colandro
5. Pete the Cat: Snow Daze by James Dean

You can celebrate by taking time to read with a child, gifting a book to a child in your life, or making a donation to Book Trust.
