Today Book Trust shared its 2023-2024 Impact Report with a focus on sparking reading joy for students across the country.   

“Book Trust isn’t just an organization—we’re a movement designed to increase equitable access to books of choice for children,” President and CEO Patience Peabody shared.  “Across 194 schools, we’re lighting the way to brighter futures through joyful reading experiences.” 

During the 2023-2024 school year, the organization served 58,106 students—more than ever before. With the return to annual signature events, Book Trust communities were engaged in Fort Collins and Denver, CO, as well as Maui, HI.  

Additionally, Book Trust partnered with an organization to conduct exploratory research to better understand the needs of the communities it serves. Findings validated the program’s core premise: improved book access significantly impacts students with few books of their own.
