Attendees sampled beer from local breweries and browsed the silent auction

Books, beer, and generosity were on tap at The Lincoln Center on October 24, 2024, as more than 130 attendees enjoyed local brews and mocktails for a good cause. Thanks to the Northern Colorado community, more than $119,000 was raised to support Book Trust’s work in Northern Colorado and across the country.

“This was a powerful and heartwarming event,” said Ben Reuler, Vice President of Development for Book Trust. “Book Trust started in Northern Colorado. Our roots run deep in this community, and this was evident at all levels from sponsors to brewery partners, to the volunteers who made the event possible. We are so grateful for the overwhelming support; the power of relationships, and literacy, was on full display.”

Books on Tap is one of several events hosted throughout the year enabling communities to learn more about Book Trust’s work while raising funds to support increased book access, choice, ownership, and joy.

Last school year in Northern Colorado, Book Trust partnered with 21 schools and 400 teachers. In classrooms throughout the region, 8,538 students selected and received 91,203 books to build and grow their personal libraries!
