Denver-area friends, sweethearts, and bookworms celebrated Valentine’s Day early at the Book Lovers & Friends Bash on February 6, 2025 at FlyteCo Tower. The happy hour-style event raised awareness and funds to support book access, choice, ownership, and joy for students in Denver and beyond.

More than 50 attendees enjoyed a dinner buffet, drinks, silent auction, and unlimited entertainment zone access with sports simulators, axe throwing, and more. Guests also had fun going on a “blind date with a book.”

“The commitment and connection in the room was palpable. The Book Trust mission resonates deeply; I was so moved by the energy of this bash!” said Ben Reuler, Vice President of Development for Book Trust. “Attendees walked away with new friends, sports skills competition bragging rights, and amazing auction items. Of course, the biggest win is knowing this fun night put more books of choice into the hands of students.”

Last school year, Book Trust partnered with 15 schools in the Denver Public Schools system, supporting more than 5,000 students in choosing and owning 55,086 books.

With the community’s continued engagement, Book Trust looks to expand its Denver-area network and fundraising efforts. Contact Lisa Franko, Assistant Vice President of Development, to learn more about joining the Denver Regional Advisory Board and other engagement opportunities.
